I am a total noob when it comes to site admin. I have had my site for a couple of years now, but it was on Simple Machines. I had Brandon switch it over to Vbulletin for me, and he did an awesome job. I am now looking at a new host, the one that I have is not doing well with the switch. It takes forever to load, and it's a very small site!

But, anyway, I digress. I am starting to have lots of questions. I am thankful that this site is patient with newbies, because I really don't know much about this. I want to learn though.

My first two questions.

1. I have the chatbox at the top of my forum. I can see it. Most of my members can see it. But, I have a few who are complaining that it isn't there for them, and that they cannot see it. I have looked all through the chatbox options, and user options, and can't find any reason why they aren't seeing it? Does anybody know what would be causing this?

2. I cannot find the log out button on the site, on the new skin. Can someone tell me where I would go to readd it?

1. Check the usergroup settings, are these few users in the same usergroup ?

2. uuh, I don't see one on that style.. it has to be there somewhere.

They are all in the same usergroup, and some can see it, and those can't. I am confused!

Do they see anything where the chatbox goes ?

Yeah, this is a weird issue.


If people see "something" see if they can take a snapshot of it and post a picture of it on the forums, and also say what browser they're using, that might have something to do with it also.

Okay, here's the deal. One of my members told me that she had the chat. She went in, and made a couple of changes in her profile, and it disapppeared. So, I went into mine. I made one change, nothing that should have affected it. I clicked save, came back into the forum, and the chat is no longer showing for me. Just a normal forum, no chat. I went back and reversed the change, cleared cookies, everything, and it didn't bring it back. The chat box is still gone.

I am so frustrated right now.

hmm, maybe I forgot to do the options edit, I'll take a look when I can.
