Well looking to move a site bout ready to launch to a host...I was thinking HostGator...Looks good from what I read...Anybody have anything bad to say about them?

I have head quite a bit that is bad about them for shared hosting, but if you go higher then shared its gold (or has been for me).

Ive been with them for two years on shared web hosting and never really had a problem. Then again the most members, guests and spiders I had on at once were about 466 and my forum worked fine. Also I use their largest of the shared hosting plans and like I said so far so good.

I think I will give them a try and see..I contacted the owner and talked to them...And well from the talk had and all...I guess I got a staff member, but it was rather nice.. And they were more than happy to explain everything...So we will see...

I suggest Fluid Hosting: FreeBSD and Windows Hosting

I use them but have occasionallly unwittingly ran afoul of them as they don't like it when your site takes up to much server resources. And if you send out a newsletter or mass message be sure you only send 200 or less per hour (I believe there's a mod that can regulate that)

I still have one of my forums on Hostgator with the same shared hosting plan and no problems. I guess I got lucky with them.
