How do I....

Get the you got PM screen to pop up notifying you that you do have a PM?

Here is what I've done so far, on the admin panel I have the PM notification to pop up the message activated but for some reason it's not working.

Am I missing something?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In the USERCP, turn on "pop up a notification when you receive a pm".

However, if you use that crap called "internet security", you may not get a popup.

...mmmm...okay I've made the change to usercp, thank and I hope it works. Is there a way to make it global, so that all memebers can automatically get the pop up notification? New members along with existing members?

I think under maintenance, if you have run query rights, there is a way/query to globally turn it on for all members.

Ok, in the ACP at the bottom of the left menu us a maintenance feature. In it are many preset queries to globally reset stuff.

However, for an admin to run them, their user ID has to be in the config.php file under can run queries.

Edit the config.php, add your user id to that part of the file, save and upload. Then you can run queries.

When you get there, look for the predefined queries. Find the one for PM popup defaults, assuming it exists, run it with it set to yes.

This is also something you can set as a registration default IIRC.

If it don't exist, holler back. we may be able to show ya a query.
