How do i provide a redirect...

I currently own a site: 40kterra.com

First, it goes from 40kterra.com which is a splash page that will take you into 40kterra.com/forums (which is my forums).

I want to temporarily put you directly to 40kterra.com/forums when you type in 40kterra.com how can you do this?

I say temporarily, because I do plan on getting a wordpress soon, so thats why I didn't have my vbulletin as my main index.. but I want to do so in future, but not right now..

any clue how to do this? THnak.s

Re: How do i provide a redirect...

The easiest way would be to use a simple javascript redirect. Make a standard html file (call it index.html) and use the following javascript:

Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
window.location = "http://www.40kterra.com/forums/"
//-->
</script>
Hope this helps

Re: How do i provide a redirect...

or add this about your </head> tag .

Code:
<meta HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" content="0; url=http://www.40kterra.com/forums/">
Just create this .html page .

Code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML>
 <HEAD>
  <TITLE>redirecting...</TITLE>
<meta HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" content="0; url=http://www.40kterra.com/forums/">
 </HEAD>

 <BODY>

 </BODY>
</HTML>
and upload it to 40kterra.com.

Best regards,
Iulian
