How do you encourage members to tag their threads?


i confess I'm guilty of leaving most of my threads untagged myself... but how do I encourage my own members to do it if I don't? I don't usually remember as the box for it is at the bottom. Out of sight, out of mind.

This can be difficult. Users don't really care about much other than getting their message posted and getting replies as fast as possible. LOL

I use the Auto Thread Tagger modification because nobody tags their threads (not even me. lol)

I have the tagging options disabled. I know its suppose to be good for seo but it looks ugly.

I just use the auto tagger. It does ok job. Plus I have /tags blocked in my robots.txt I dont see it helping at all

i dont encourage them to tag their thread, i use the automatic thread taggers, works superbly

That's the first one I had installed. But for some reason it didn't work with the Zoints Anonymous Posting Modification.

So I switched to this one, which is more advanced:

yes, i use the one Nick posted and it has worked really well for me, my 1 member had a prob with trying to make a new thread and being denied for some tag error but i think it worked itself out.
