I Can't Believe This Happened...
I logged on to my forum today and noticed a lot of threads and posts were missing. Then I realized that my forum had reverted about 5 days backwards! The most recent post was from Dec. 27th and everything I worked on since than was undone!
So I had to spend the entire day doing all the work I had done for the last week. I won't be able to replace the hundreds of posts that were made though, which really sucks. None of my debaters are going to reenact the discussions we had. We've all basically wasted our time and now I have a bunch of threads no one wants to post in anymore.
Why did this happen? Any ideas?
I was thinking maybe it was because I installed the "Post Thank You Hack" which was for 3.7. However it said it would work with 3.6.8. I don't know.
I guess I should have backed up my forums more often. But vBulletin says you shouldn't use their backup since it causes "timeouts" or something. What should I us to back up my forum? Is there something that would automatically make backups every day or something?
