I want to own a forum! I heard about vbulletin forums and its sites. I was attracted by its very appearance! So I have decided to own a forum powered by vbulletin. Can anyone tell about owning a forum powered by vbulletin.

get yourself a licence with vBulletin® - Instant Community (it's paid), then download the package, upload it to your hosting account and following instructions. Then you can skin, hack, add so many things (see vbulletin.org for that)

I would reccomend going ahead and buying it outright. That way you don't have to pay 80 every year. Just a once time 150 fee I think, and just 30 a year afterwards if you want updates.

You can sometimes find used owned licenses for sale. We've had some posted in the marketplace.
It's a great script, I hope you can find one

Yea I used one of those free ones provided by my hosting, and after 2 days, I had to switch to VBulletin. There is just no contest when it comes to running a forum...
