IE8 Beta 2 crashes trying to run vBulletin

As was the case with IE8 Beta 1, the new IE8 Beta 2 crashes if and every time you try to access a vBulletin forum. Don't know why. Smolly.

Re: IE8 Beta 2 crashes trying to run vBulletin

It's Internet Explorer...

Seriously though, I'm not sure what'd it'd be, especially since its still in Beta.
All Internet explorer is, is a big hassle for windows and I'm sure they'd like to get rid of it as well, but they just can't. The "Increased Security" on 8 is just going to mean more annoying pop ups, and it catching up to the rest of the browsers within this century
*and I'm usually a Windows guy too; but when something sucks I'll admit it.

Re: IE8 Beta 2 crashes trying to run vBulletin

You can try using Compatibility Mode.

Go to Tools --> Compatibility View Settings. Add the websites that you are having problems with to the list and see if that solves the problem.

how will ie8 affect ads? I've read that ie8 will have ad blocking? and even the microsoft ads will be blocked... if this is the case then making money from adsense will surely go down hill

If the person using IE 8 is in "InPrivate Browsing" mode, Microsoft admits some ads could be blocked. The "InPrivate Browsing" mode is basically anonymous surfing in that your history isn't logged, URLs aren't logged, etc.

I'm not sure exactly why the ads would be blocked, but just hope your users don't have this mode enabled!

i would think that porn mode would be used lightly and most users on a everday type thing will be using normal mode, i would think, porn made has to have some short comings when in use.
