I'm considering hiring some folks to post....

Has anyone used a service to have folks post on your site to boost your level of "activity"?

I think that it might be a good way to jump start my forums since I just officially opened them and I have yet to get anything but a couple of 'intro' posts.

Anyone have any experiences with this type of service? Or possibly some suggestions as to what steps I should take.

You can do the PostFusion system if you're active on the internet or post on other sites frequently that have it installed.

I personally would never pay for posts, as most won't be worth the 10 cents you probably paid for it, and written in some poorly translated english

Interesting idea Steve. I've already started to register and post in other Disney-related forums to get some visitors going, but when a visitor looks at the fact that I only have 7 members and not much posting going on, they see it as a 'dead' forum. It's a catch 22.

Brandon, thanks for the link. I'm going to look into AdminFusion this afternoon and hopefully it will help.

David, I had heard about the "poorly translated English" thing and asked a couple of the services about that. Lots of them are now using only (or 90% or better) posters from here in the States and in the UK to try and help with that issue. One service tends to use a lot of stay at home Mothers which would be great for my site. That's why I was considering it.

But please...you guys have MUCH more knowledge about what has worked for you in the past and I need all the info and help I can get! So, thanks for the comments thus far!

If anyone else has some feedback on the subject, please let me know.

Oh, that's right! Thanks for reminding me Blake. I think that I asked how to go about doing that in another thread here on vBulletinsetup but lost track of the thread. Can you let me know how to go about removing that information?
