Re: Instant Messenger Mod?

The only "IM" stuff I have seen is mysql based. Then many wrap it in a vB page to use permissions. The overhead is huge. I would say all mysql IMs are a no no for the most part.

I have seen services available that are real IM. But they cost.

Point, there is no free lunch. Quality services require quality hardware and resources which are not cheap and the software is never free in my experience. Free can take you off to a good start, but to maintain success, there seems to be a point where you have to invest in growth or realize your limitations.

Re: Instant Messenger Mod?

I found a "instant messenger system" called Lilis Pizza Pizza Messenger system. I think this might do the trick, but it sounds like it might not be compatible with vB 3.6.8 Hopefully they'll put out an upgrade of it.
