List search queries?
Hi All,
This is really a two part question then an idea. I've been conjuring this up for a while but I'm not really sure if it's worth anything.
1) Does vB save search queries anywhere in the database?
2) If so, can a plugin be built to display them in the ACP?
As an admin, while looking at who's online I can see what keywords someone is searching for so it maybe possible it's saving them or is it just pulling the keyword from the php input on the URL.
My idea was as webmasters if we knew what terms were being searched for on our local engine (vBulletin's) and could grab a list of the most frequently used key words we can than built better content for our members or encourage most posts on that specific topic. On my DJ forum if 10 people search for American DJ mixers, I could post a review or even a photo gallery of them.
As my forum matures more and more, I'm looking for way to sustain and satisfy my current members rather than constantly attract newbies.
Good idea, bad idea? Is it even fiesable?
Thanks,
Dan
