I am looking for a hack or a mod that will post a signature depending on what style you use to post.

Lets say I used style ABC. When I post using style ABC, I have a certain Signature or tagline in the POST/Post Reply area.

But..if I use style DEF, I do not have the same signature or tagline that I had in style ABC.

Anyone know how or maybe an existing mod?

Theres a hack on .org for a default sig for all new members.Don't know if theres one for what your looking tho mate.

I think I found it..but its system wide. I just want to modify a signature by style ID.

A little background of what I am trying to do.

I run a forum dedicated to BlackBerry devices. Of course my members want to read and post messages via their BlackBerry.

I want to be able to tag the posts that were made via WAP/Blackberry with a tag line.

I have a style dedicated to WAP browsing..so there has to be something in that style that I can add to be able to post that the post was made via WAP.

there IS a hack to do this automatically. ill try to dig it up. what site?

wrap you sig tag with a if statement like

<if condition="$session['styleid'] == STLYE#HERE">SIG CODE HERE</if>

where would I put that code??? postbit?

That if is not complete. You also need to add your userid or else all users will change on that style.


<if condition="$session['styleid'] == STLYE#HERE AND $post['userid'] = 'YOUR_USER_ID_HERE'">
new sig
<else />
Normal sig
</if>

It would go in the postbit around the signature field.

Normal sig would be whatever it is at now. $post[signature] I think the variable is.
