At the moment, I've done almost nothing to monetize my vBulletin forum. I've put the skyscraper Adsense ads on the left column, but that it is.

I'd like to incorporate ads within forums posts or something something similar.

Are there any articles, guides, etc that discuss monetizing a vBulletin forum?

No, those aren't what I'm talking about.

I'm looking for specific tips, tricks, code examples, etc of clever ad placement within vBulletin itself.

Because of the nature of the forum, ads aren't going to convert as well as they do on a blog. (Typically forum members are regular visitors while blog visitors usually stumble on the site through the search engines are whatever).

So I'm looking for ways to make more cash on my forum without ticking off my members.

I'm thinking of Adsense and affiliate programs for now as it may be a few months until my own products are ready yet.
