Moving forum from /forums to public_html

I've moved all folders/files to the root dir and am ready to try and run it on the main domain now. I was getting ready to run install again but thought I'd better ask before I wipe out all data.

What do I need to besides undo autoforwarding from root to forums folder?

THANKS AGAIN

Re: Moving forum from /forums to public_html

if you have your forum at /forums/ already, the only thing you'll need to change is the "general settings"
That is, once you've moved the files on ftp.

if you have some hacks like
vbadvanced photoplog, vblogetin.. you maybe have to edit a config file with those hacks.

Re: Moving forum from /forums to public_html

Hi Brandon,

I had a problem with move and after trying everything imaginable I finally realized the htaccess file had been changed for some reason and as soon as I replaced that site came up.

Only remaining issue related to move is my little favicon has been replaced by vbulletins. Where exactly does this little bugger go? I currently have it in images folder.

Non-move related issues that I'd like to resolve while I'm at it:

1) I am not able to redirect /index.php4 to my main domain name. When I add that redirect the page doesn't load at all?

2) ( I had a question here about how to change URLs to SEO friendly URLs but I got answers here:
vBSEO - vBulletin SEO: The #1 Solution )

Lastly, So you know that I don't take your help for granted I'm going put a thread up thanking you on my forum in the "Online Gathering Places for Moms" which is where we talk about the many forums out there, as well as, a featured listing on momz.com and dadz.com, in the Forums categories in our directories.

THANKS!

Here's an email I got when I got the 200 page error...

Database error in vBulletin :
