my upcoming vHosting 2.1.0 hack
If Brandon doesn't mind I like to give the paid version of my hack some publicity.
On both my free version and my paid (2.0.0) versions I had the options use a database table. Now my paid versions uses the vBulletin's Options which is a lot better way to go. I'll upgrade my free version to use the vBulletin Options.

Some users were saying that they don't have cPanel so I added something new from 2.0.0 called "Private Message Text". What this does is let the administrator create a canned responce that goes out to users once they are accepted

There are two new additions; one is "Choose a type" and the other is "Choose which usergroups can request this plan". Some hosting sites may want to set up either a system where users need to post to request hosting and the other may want to charge. Since the "Post" type isn't new to my hack I'll talk about "Currency" type. In the box labeled "Posts or Dollar Amount Required to Request Hosting" you'd input say "7.00" then select "Currency" for the type. Then you'd select which usergroup an user has to pay a subscription to become a member of (This can be used for "Post" type as well). Once you set up the paid subscription you can have the user buy the subscriptions and then they can request the plan you just set up.
I'll set up a test account so you can play with it.
