I'm getting the following error on my site:

Fatal error: (null)() [function.require]: Failed opening required './../global.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/pregamel/public_html/forum/global.php(360) : eval()'d code on line 192

I'm having a hard time figuring out what is the problem. I had uninstalled the vbportal software few days ago... Today I went and deleted there two subdirectories and I'm getting this error...

I got it fixed it appears that VBportal doesn't really clean up on a uninstall. I would stay far away from that product it totally hosed my site. Well on to CMPS 3.0.

yup, I can't stand that product for many reasons, but this is one of them.
I paid for a year license once, used it for about a month and removed it. I remember it wasn't an easy script to remove.

Stay up to date by installing our Tool Bar

Yeah, first it trashs our themes then when I uninstall it leaves a mess. I think there is still more cleanup needed but I'm scared what else may break. It took me 3 hours to get my site back up with this item. I wanted to be able to do some side bar stuff around my forums... It appears that CMPS 3.0 is going to do that. Has anyone installed it yet? Anything I need to watch out for?

So are you going to be using vba? I recommend them, I have it on a site and brandon has that here also
