Need info on rotating banners

Hi,

I've read everything that I can find on adding a rotating banner in the header or under the nav bar. It appears that most have minor problems. I see that you have what appears to be what I need. Could you point me to the code that you are using? I notice that the banner doesn't appear on all pages, is this by design?

Thanks.

I use open ads for my header and skyscraper.

Openads - Overview

For my threads and other Google ads I use, which can be used with you own banner as well.

Re: Need info on rotating banners

Brandon, Thanks for the info. the vB Geek has a personal problem and his site is down. Is this something that you bought from him or a freebie? The Openads, is a lot more than I need. Ad management seems to be more than I need also, I have sponcors that pay me, so I don't want people just putting up ads, if I understand it right.

I am working on an Iframe solution, but right now, the ad's site opens in the iframe and haven't figured that out yet.

I can't honestly remember how long it took to upload, I would no longer that 10-15 mins but I can't remember. It's been over a year since i uploaded mine. It was phpAdsNew at the time, I only had to upgrade to Open Ads..

If you have any problems I'll be glad to help you out but won't have anytime until Friday night. :waiting2:

Cute smilie...heh

Well, I'm using WS_FTP as the FTP transfer and it seemed to take forever.

Before I do anything, how does it work for you? Does it automatically find ads or you ad them? I want an insiders opinion instead of reading it. You know how they up their product anyway....heh

Not sure what you mean about finding ads.

I don't use it to it's full potential I know that much. I use it to rune the banners in my header that we create for the sponsors and tracks. I have two zones set up in it and they are the header and the one Skyscraper that is on the right on the forums home labeled Sponsors The text links are done manually and the Google ads are done by inserting the Google Ads code in the box.

There is a mod on vb.org that integrates phpAds (Open Ads) with vBulletin. If I recall it did have a few template edits and conditionals though..

I went with the vB Ad Management 3.1 (Ad Sharing Edition) - vBulletin.org Forum because it was easier to put the Google ads in the threads without allot of template edits.. You can ad any code that you like so I am sure you could serve up your own ads from Open Ads as well.
