New Host - New Server

Ok..I dumped my host that was crashing like every 12 hours...

Now that I have a new Host...can I simply move the entire content of my old server over..or do I have to do a "fresh" install of Vbulletin?

Thanks!

Steve

Re: New Host - New Server

You can move the site, you'll need the files in the ftp and any databases that you're using.

btw, I suggest Fluid Hosting: FreeBSD and Windows Hosting
That's what we use.

If both your accounts were on CPanel then your host can easily move your site to the new account.

It is quite simple - post back on here if you get your site back online!

Re: New Host - New Server

My site is back online....but with 1 minor issue.

Whenever I click QUICK LINKS >> Today's Posts
I get sent to a referral page that tells me the page has moved here (with here underlined as a link)... how do I fix that?

ALSO... guess there is more than 1 issue.. in the Admin Control Panel, most of my controls look like this **Forums & Moderators** why the astericks?

And, if I reinstall VBulletin over my current install, will I lose my templates?

Anyone have any suggestions?

Looks like the images folder in your forum folder wasn't copied properly. Login through FTP and download the current image folder (store it some where for backup) and restore the images folder from a backup or from the styles folder and this should take care of images that aren't showing.

To fix today's post problem, log into admincp and go to edit your style. Here choose to edit the header and find todays_posts entry. Ensure that the url entry contains the following:

Code:
<a href="search.php?do=getdaily" accesskey="2">
