New PM Message Not Showing on vBadvanced homepage....

Guys,

I'm sure that this is easy but I'm rather new at the coding deal.

I've got my New PM flashing thing working on my forum pages (attachment 1), but not on the vBadvanced page (attachment 2). How do I fix this?

I'm guessing you'll need to add something to the plugin, but I'll let someone who knows what they are talking about to answer

I don't understand why this is.

I'm guessing you edited the 'navbar' template for your style?
And you have the 'Enable Navbar' option checked in the settings?
(ACP > vBa CMPS > Default Settings > Style Options)

The navbar should be a complete copy of the navbar in the rest of the forum.

EDIT:

Just thought...go to...

ACP > vBa CMPS > Default Settings > Global vBadvanced Settings

In the 'Navbar Replacements' section, make sure that 'private.php' is included in the list.

Yes, it's checked.

I guess that I'll copy and paste the code for each and compare what's different.

Was already in there.

I guess my only hope is if I can spot something in the code that isn't quite right.

ill bet the call of the welcome box is still the old hook from 3.6 and your welcome box/unread post hack is not picking it up for this reason. I will find the edit you need to make more then likely in the adv_portal template

i had this same issue when i upgraded...

make sure you try these if they apply first

Wow, I was reading some of that stuff and got more confused.

I originally ,and still have, 3.6.8 p2 installed and cmps 3.0 installed. So, I shouldn't be running into those problems, should I?

I'll try and get some pointers from the guys that did the 'red flashy' pm hack to see if they have any suggestions.
