New Thread Prefix: Change Colors?

Folks, is there a way to change the default black color on the text for the new 3.7 version of the thread prefix?

I did a quick search but couldn't find anything on it.

Hi
Re: New Thread Prefix: Change Colors?

I looked into this a while back and wasn't 100% satisfied with the results.

In the prefix manager page, where you actually type the prefix, use html markup to change the color, i.e.

<font color="red">Question</font>
<font color="red">Solved</font>

The only downside is that when you start a new thread, you actually see the html markup in the dropdown menu box. BUT....when the thread is created, the prefix will be in red and you don't see the markup.

Check it out for yourself, you'll understand better lol.

I tried finding the code in a template but I couldn't get it to work.

Re: New Thread Prefix: Change Colors?

There has to be a cleaner way for this. I thought I saw this before on other sites or as a hack or something before.

But, at least we have a temporary 'fix' to it.

Anyone else know how this can be done without showing the html in the dropdown menu box?

Hi
Re: New Thread Prefix: Change Colors?

I found it!

In the Title (Plain Text) section put normal text.

In the Title (Rich Text) section put this...

<span style="color:green">prefix</span>

Obviously change the colour to what you want.

VERY NICE!

Way to go GlennyBee!

This works great. I guess there's a way to bold or italicize as well. But for now, I like the color changes to distinguish threads from the different theme parks within the Theme Parks forum.

Re: New Thread Prefix: Change Colors?

I would use span. The font tag is depreciated.
