This is where I had my multiple columns within one column thing done. You can probably figure it out quickly based on this. 3.5.x - Add MORE columns to vBadvanced - vBadvanced Forums |

I need to do another little thing on the layout of my CMPS and I can't quite get it to go. |

Well, I'd like to have the same setup, two modules side by side, under the current ones on my CMPS.
Plus, (a little unrelated ) I wanted to "fix" the width of my forums/CMPS so that I can be sure of the 'true' size.
Thanks for your help David! |

Sheesh....it'll probably take me some time to get this done. I might have to hire you for real! That way, you can fix these couple of things and then also create a 'test' site for me to mess around with too.
I'm going to try the cmps size fix first. May the vBulletin gawds be with me!
By the way, where do I enter the fixed width for the table edit? Within the header code or in that other page that had like a percentage rather than fixed amount of pixels? |

| Re: OK i give, need a vBAdvanced pro in here.... David, I copied the contents over to the adv_portal template and replaced $header with the contents.
Now, what do I do? Style manager and enter the fixed width? |

David,
I changed the width on the Style Manager under "Main Table Width (pixels or percentage)" to a fixed "975".
I guess that it worked because when I make the window smaller, it no longer 'scrunches' (for lack of a better word) the page.
Now, I have to try and tackle the CMPS layout 'thing'.

| Re: OK i give, need a vBAdvanced pro in here.... David, thanks for the help on the header! Worked great!
Bryce, is it really that easy for the customized look on the vBadvanced page? I went through all of those headaches to create mine...sheesh.
I'll have to try this out sometime down the road when I want to add my two additional columns under the ones that I have now. Thanks! |

| Re: OK i give, need a vBAdvanced pro in here.... Bryce (or David or anyone! ), I'd like for my vBadvanced setup to look like this....
[_1_] [_____2_____]
[_3_] [_____4_____]
[_5_] [__6__][__7__]
[_8_] [__9__][_10__]
[_11] [____12_____]
Hopefully that makes sense.
Can someone help me with the code to make this happen? |

The template edit coming soon | David,
These three are in addition to what I already have setup, right?
I'm asuming that I can just delete or make them 'inactive' one I get these going, right?
Thanks for the help by the way! |

Can someone help me with the code to make this happen? | You'd need 4 differrent module positions:
left
righttop
rightmiddleleft
rightmiddleright
rightbottom
Your table code would look something like this: Code: <table>
<tr>
<td rowspan="3">LEFT COLUMN</td>
<td colspan="2">RIGHT COLUMN TOP</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>RIGHT COLUMN MIDLEFT</td>
<td>RIGHT COLUMN MIDRIGHT</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="2">RIGHT COLUMN BOTTOM</td>
</tr>
except altered to your vB Template & with the vBA Code as explained in the aforementioned blog post. |
