Well I made this post over on vb.org LOL but no answers..Maybe you all are smarter..I cant figure it out for the life of me

So I been tying to make a subforum that I made into a link forum open in new window. But no matter how I try I cant seem to find the right template to edit.

I figure this code should work. But it doesnt

If you go there you will see the link for the other site. But no matter what edit I cant make it open in new window....Any help would be greatly appreciated

hmm,, here is a dirty way to do it

ok, make the subforum, but leave it hidden, and pay note to the url.
then make a forum as link and link it to that hidden forum.
It's in the forum manager.. I don't know the path off hand, but I can look it up if needed.

I'm pretty sure those links open in a new window?

Man I feel dumb get this LMAO

I figured out when you put a link in the box all its doing is inclosing it with hyperlink code

So putting this

http://www.hobbieselite.com" target="_blank"

Opens any link in new window..Just add that at the end of it

" target="_blank"

This is sad it took me that long to try it LMAO

I think this can be done by Javascript, probably by writing a script to rewrite that specific link after the page loads. It would always have to be in the same place (numerically), that might be tricky.
