paypal button in a thread?


is it posible to put a paypal button in a specific thread? i added it ok but it dosn't work. it shows up but when you click on it you get Invalid Action Specified. it works fine if i put in left colum of the forum or anywhere else. i want it on a single post that describes the product. thank you in advance

well if there is 1 link to the where it will take the clicker then you can insert image like normal and link to that link

usually paypal buttons are scripts like google ads so you can't (or shouldn't) be able to insert them into a post cause html is turned off.

there are a few workaround a little more info would help

will members be able to post to the thread in question?

will you want different paypal buttons or links on different threads in the section?

give us a little more to go by.

it will be just in this one thread which is locked and thier is other parts for them to respond etc. here is a link to the thread i am talking about Learn To Trade like a Pro Video CD Program - Stock Market Cats Message Board Forums

right now i have it set up with a link to main page where the paypal button is located

If you are the only person posting in that section and the comments are in another section you can safely turn on html in the options of the forum

AdminCP>forums and moserators>forum manager> pick the forum and click "edit" in the dropdown.

turn on html

then try to use the paypal code provided to embed your button

this should work

ONLY if you are the only person posting there.

allowing everyone to use html in posts is a pretty bad security risk.

thank you. people can post in other parts of that forum just not that thread so i quess safe way is to leave how i have it. thanks for you help

i mean you could put your "deal" threads in a subforum of that section called "offers" or something then allow just the subforum to use html for you....
