Personal Sticky Threads

I've said before that I thought vBulletin should allow you to bookmark threads for easy reference, and this isn't quite what I imagined but it would allow a means of keeping your favorite threads around:

Re: Personal Sticky Threads

Yeah, though I'd like to see a better way of bookmarking threads I'm not sure I'd want my personal sticky threads cluttering up the page... they need to make more of a social bookmark system.

Re: Personal Sticky Threads

I like the subscription setup built into vbulletin. Mike released, or at least he talked to me about releasing a subscription addon that might be what you really want
let me see if I can find it..
yup, here it is Thread Subscription Title - vBulletin.org Forum
and I don't know about you, but I don't want to give my users the power to sticky all the threads in a forum and never see new ones on the 1st page

Re: Personal Sticky Threads

I think i like that a little better, it is cleaner and easier to manage i think then personal stickies, and they all show up in one spot.

Re: Personal Sticky Threads

That looks useful Brandon, though the main reason I keep talking about wanting a bookmark mod even though it's similar to subscriptions is so people can choose to make their list of favorite threads viewable in their profile for others to check out.

And I think the idea of this mod was that the "sticky" threads only show up for the user who stickied them.

Re: Personal Sticky Threads

you could add the mod where poeple can have a bio in their profile and list them there or find a mod that ads a profile box and modify it for user entry. just make sure you have the title replacemtn mod hooked up to clean the URLS

Re: Personal Sticky Threads

I don't think my users would use it like that, I think if it was something theycould click on in the Thread Options menu they would bookmark it. I'm sure your idea could work on sites where the users are a little more tech savvy though
