Question Physically Moving Forum

I have a situation where I installed my vb forum a couple of directories above my root to try and steer clear of any conflicts with an already existsing (non-vb) site.

I now have since become rid of the original forum and am wondering if it's possible (or wise) to move the new site down a couple of directories simply for the sake of ease of access.

thx for any input

Re: Physically Moving Forum

You will lose all your indexed pages.

As for moving it, it's pretty easy
Just go to the general settings and set the new path, then go in the ftp and move the folder up.

If you have vBa, you'll need to edit the vba index file as well.

Re: Physically Moving Forum

Well, the site in it's current form is only a couple weeks or so old, so losing that wouldn't be so awful just yet.

the website is www.ageofdarkstone.com

I currently have a redirector going to public_html/exodus/index.php which is the vba index.

the forum itself is in public_html/exodus/forum

the previous site was in public_html/forum (it is now deletable)

which is why I'd like to move the forum AND the vba index file to the root.
