It's highly unlikely that you'll find a points hack that doesn't require any template edits. ;)

I use vBCredits - work's great on 3.6.8 and has a lot of features.

If you have TMS then you won't have to edit anything! I love TMS.

True. and the edits you do need (I don't use TMS) are too easy. Usually just inserting a hook.
