Hey VbSetup,
I was really curious about this so i just wanna ask lol..

Is it legally for me to be the new admin? here what happend:
My friend setup a gaming forum using vbulletin version 3.7.0 beta 1
and he decide that he cant handle anymore so he gave it to me.. and he dont have vb file anymore or the info for vbulletin member area.. how can i request everything to be transfer to me now.. like new customer #, new vb update and pass to login vbulletin.com

I wouldn't trust this at all. If you want to be law abising and honest, submit the licence number to vbulletin so they can check it out.

oh woops.. My friend ( his other friend is the one who install for him so he know the info ) and now he lost it. ( i dont think is fake cause when i login admincp it say Vbulletin news.. update today and stuff..

mostly fake vb dont have news from vb in admincp.

I'm not sure on this, but I'd guess that the old owner would have to transfer it to you legally through vbulletin.com and their system.

If the owner disappears I'm not sure on the process, but you could buy a new vbulletin license and take that database if given permission by the old owner or if he left it for you in writing.
