Quick Register ?

Has anyone installed Quick Register?

Quick Register for 3.5.x - Plugin Edition - vBulletin.org Forum

I thought of giving it a try and remove the regular registration page, but I had double thoughts.
Maybe that will boost registrations, but it may also open doors for many others who will just post crap..

Opinions please..

Re: Quick Register ?

On my forum I have things set up so that the member is pressured into making their introductory post at the same time... I think adding a quick registration thing would just be overkill for my forum right now, but I'd be interested to see if it encourages non-introductory first posts (which might be more valuable than introductions).

I've seen this one before and really didn't see the benefit of it for my site.

well i guess Arny, if you get a guest who wants to sign up quick or has a hard time finding the regster button, as sometimes they are small, then this would help

Re: Quick Register ?

One good thing about this, is that it works with Google Funnels for vBSEO, in order to track your registrations

Re: Quick Register ?

That's a setting in Google Analytics, which will allow you to track certain actions a user must take in order for your specific goal to be successful.

In this case my goal was to track where registrations complete and where do they stall.

Thank you, that explains a lot. (I don't have Google Analytics, so hadn't heard of it.)

yeah, Google Analytics is already on the to-do list, unfortunately there are several things ahead of futzing with it...

You're joking right??

I can't even imagine any of my sites without Analytics. As Caddy said. that should be your top priority cause it takes less that 2 minutes to complete.
