It would be nice to be able to see bigger screenshots! This looks like a great mod, I may just have to install it.

That's alright, I got the idea. I will be installing this hack tonight and looking forward to seeing it in action.

Edit: Installed and works great! Didn't take long at all.

Re: Radio Stations Add-on

Has anyone installed this before? I'm looking to have a 'radio-station' of mp3s for my members and this looks like an option.

Thoughts?

Re: Radio Stations Add-on

Actually....this seems to work with radio stations that are online now. Is there a program/mod that will stream a group of mp3s that you would like to play?

Or, is there another option for me?

Looks like this is something closer to what I'm looking for.... anyone know of a current option to use? [ Audio / Visual ] - VB Mega Jukebox - Now with permissions to save bandwith - Page 38 - vBulletin.org Forum

Actually, looks like this one might be what I need The XEON Mp3 Player for vBulletin 3.6.X Integrated - Page 68 - vBulletin.org Forum

I wonder if it's something that I can upload songs somewhere else and then stream them from that external feed. Gotta get reading..68 pages to go through.

Re: Radio Stations Add-on

I used Xeon which was pretty good no complaints from me but I removed it because I couldnt find a site to host my mp3s with. I used mediamax but they are terrible. Half the time my mp3s would not play. Im actually looking into maybe starting a radio station.

Re: Radio Stations Add-on

Greek, do you mean starting a radio station as in a station on live365.com or something? Or, starting an actual web radio station on its own?

Xeon looks good, but I need to have someone host these mp3s. Lots of Disney music are background audio from the parks and the songs go on forever. Which, in turn, means that there are HUGE files associated with these things.

So, I definitely need an external solution for this.

I just looked at their site but the key thing is if you want to be able to play mp3s on a radio is do they offer streaming music. I dont see that anywhere. File sharing yes but for that I would use rapidshare.com which I use.

Re: Radio Stations Add-on

Oh, okay.

So, I have to find a file sharing site which has 'streaming' as one of it's features. Gotcha.

Let me keep searching.

Re: Radio Stations Add-on

How about this Greek?

You can use this 'widget' from FileFactory after uploading 20 songs (which should be plenty for me) and you can play it straight from there.

Can this be added to a post, let's say and then played from there? The post could be "Songs of the Day" or "Songs of the Week" or something?

Most likely with live365 since they cover all the royalty fees. I created a thread over at my forum to see if my members would be interested. Ill see the responses that Ill get. Starting one on my own is too much of a headache and requires a lot more money. I can afford 150 a month which is what live365 offers...

Re: Radio Stations Add-on

I haven't signed up with FileFactory yet, but here's a code someone posted....

Code:
<embed src="http://www.filefactory.com/images/widget/audio.swf?hash=7c649834852e5352&mainColor=055249&textColor=eef5f1&contentColor=130225&highlightColor=230346" quality="high" id="flashElement" wmode="transparent" width="300" height="400" name="widget" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="always" menu="false" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" flashVars="hash=7c649834852e5352&mainColor=055249&textColor=eef5f1&contentColor=130225&highlightColor=230346" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" />
<div style="font-size:x-small;width:300px;text-align:center;">FileFactory.com</div>
....is this easy to add to vB? Can it be added to a post somehow?

Re: Radio Stations Add-on

Can anyone convert this to BBCode? Or, show me how to?

This seems like an easy fix for my mini-radio station that I'd like to have. I can include this in a post and use it as my 'songs of the week' post or something similar.
