Relevant Replacements

Hey guy's,

My RR's were not working after the upgrade. I went to vBSEO and found this thread: vBulletin SEO Forums I think it is post 13

anyway I did it exactly how the user described and now I have this showing up:

Is this how it is suppose to look? Or what do I need to do to fix this?

Re: Relevant Replacements

Well the only difference I see is that your board might be named something differently. Which is why the title is a little different

Re: Relevant Replacements

So this will not interfere with the vBSEO operation? I mean the SEO part of it?

Re: Relevant Replacements

I have never really heard of people changing their sites title making it worse, I know that we here at vbs and over at vbh have changed it before in the past, but doesnt seem to hurt

Re: Relevant Replacements

Jason, it looks like your forum descriptions are whats showing on your site in show post. On the forumdisplay page you are showing double descriptions.
What I use here pulls more text from the start of the thread. This can be bad and good for the sites SEO as some threads are off-topic.

ummmm.......

Do I need to fix mine differently:

This is what is in vBSEO

on forumdisplay pages:
Code:
<strong>[forum_title] at the [bb_title]</strong> <span class="smallfont">[forum_description]</span><br />
on showthread pages:
Code:
<strong>[forum_title]</strong> <span class="smallfont">Discuss <em>[thread_title]</em> in the [parent_forum_title] forums; [first_post_20_words]...</span>

Re: Relevant Replacements

hmm, I didn't see the "first 20 post" in the showthread

the blue template is the default one that showed.

also, you'll want to remove the the double in forumdisplay
