I have been meaning to add the thank you hack. But I mean it sometimes seems to me to stop people from posting.If its not there they tend to want to post and express their opinion. What do you all think?

i think that was one of the main reasons they made the thank you hack, to cut down on bologna posts...

Having the "Thanks" option is worthwhile because it stops the "+1" and the "This" type of nonsense one liner replies but at the same time you'll notice that a lot of members will use it just to fall in line with others in their clique as if to say "Yeah, that's right, you really told him" ...

Eh, myself, I never give "Thanks". I'll post a reply and leave Rep but I look at the "Thanks" as too easy. One thing is certain though, folks really want to know who Reps them if that feature isn't enabled, so much so that they're often reminding others to "sign" their Reps, cracks me up.

ah yes, the request to sign reps, it does get a little petty sometimes. i never got all worked up over neg reps and i used to get A LOT on one site i frequent....at some point you have to say 'it's only the internet"
