Setting up RSS feeds...

I've suddenly realized... that I forgot... to set up new RSS feeds for my site. Sigh! And now... I'm not sure how to do it. Yeah, I know.. junior admin kinda question. So, I'll just ask... how do I do it... and then bury my head in sand while waiting for an answer.

Thanks!

Thanks... everything is already set to "Yes" but I'm not sure how to set up my RSS feed. I've got the lil RSS graphic but don't know what page to link it to.

Geez... that ...

Code:
http://www.pc101.com/forum/external.php?type=RSS2
looks like hell...

Hmm... this one looks better...

Code:
http://www.pc101.com/forum/external.php?type=RSS
Does it matter which one I use??

Re: Setting up RSS feeds...

Brandon the links are a little different. The top one link (RSS2 feed) shows some of the text from a thread, and the bottom one shows just the titles (RSS).

I prefer RSS2 because it gives RSS users a clear idea what's been posted. I don't know if it's the better one though.

[CaRP] XML error: Mismatched tag at line 7 - This appears to be an HTML webpage, not a feed.
Re: Setting up RSS feeds...

Yeah if i want to get my RSS feeds out there i use feedburner, like Brandon suggested. Some places don't like the generic feed but almost all like feedburner...

Re: Setting up RSS feeds...

Thanks guys,

I'll try feedburner!

Question though... why does the RSS feed button on VBS go to this big page of RSS links and then those RSS buttons go to a site called Bloglines? Where's the FeedBurner coming into play?
