Setting Up vBulletin

Okay, I haven't exactly set up a vBulletin. But I'm planning to. I have a few questions:

•What license should I get? (This is the #1 reason why I have yet to attempt setting up a vBulletin, I do not have enough money.)

•What should I first do once I get my forum started and set up?

•Which hacks/mods should I use for my forum?

Just to inform you, I'm not sure what it's going to based on. Thanks.

Well seen this thread over at vBulletin Modifications - Powered by vBulletin also, but I think it would be better for an owned licence, yea its more, but you can renew that one.

1) I would recommend an owned license, as you can keep it forever, and only $35 USD a year to get it renewed.

2) Well you are going to need hosting. Then make it based off of something that you have interest in, as if you dont, then you will not like to even visit your own site

3) That is really a personal opinion, and what kind of community you have.

Hope this helps
