I have downloaded some smilie packages but after i unzip them it is just the images. how do I upload them ad how will the script know whichones to use as they do not include the thingys you type to mae them show up?

in admincp you have a section for smilies, you can there upload them, give them a name and a 'code' shortcut

Just to clarify: you upload them somewhere in your forum directory (preferably the images/smilies directory) and in the place where you add the smilies you tell it the path of the image.
