Is there a mod available for this?

Everybody,

I was wondering whether anybody new whether there is a modification avaiable to do the following?

On my home page I am wanting to display an image that shows to everybody else whether I am online or whether am I offline.

As part of my website I am offering help via remote assisstance to help the most basic users with their problems.

Basically I want to alert them that remote assisstance is avaiable when I am online via an image and if I am offline I want it to say offline.

This is possible?

Thanks in advance, Paul.

Look at how online is figured out in the post bit generating code and duplicate that after pulling your user record. But beware, because of cookie timeout, if you don't log out, you will appear on line after you leave.

Put it in a global hook for forum wide, put it in a forum complete or start hook for forum home.

that's not quite true. If he closes down the site, he won't appear online anymore, even if he doesn't physically click on the logout buton

Noppid is correct. He will appear online for the duration of the cookie timeout from his last movement on the site, vBulletin's default is 900 seconds aka 15 minutes.

Yes, but what I'm saying is that you don't need to logoff. If you close your browser, you'll appear offline after the 15 minutes expiry. The nice part is, the moment you open your browser again, you'll be logged on again
