Is there such a mod/program/thing out there?... | |

| Re: Is there a way to translate your site into another language? Yes you download and install language packs. They change the language. |

I was researching the possibility of translating to 'Spanish' on the site. |

| Re: Is there a way to translate your site into another language? I think there would be a drawback with this though. Say someone changes the language and then makes a post in his language, the translation could come back something funky. And then its like broken english. I think if you want to make multi languages do like everyone else does, just add forums for those languages. |

| Re: Is there a way to translate your site into another language? I knew somebody who tried the automatic translation thing but it was really slow and not very accurate, he ended up scrapping it. A Spanish forum sounds like a better idea. |

| Re: Is there a way to translate your site into another language? i guess 1 section would be ok, idk, to me, IMO, i wouldn't like it, idk why i just couldn't see how it would really help the community having other speaking people cordoned off in 1 section. |

but seriously, wouldn't you have to hire staff that could moderate that section if you could not speak the language? |

| Re: Is there a way to translate your site into another language? Once a day I have a good thought.
Usually it comes right around dinner time when the question is "what's for dinner?".
You can never go wrong with the answer of Pizza! |

| Re: Is there a way to translate your site into another language? I was thinking of Spanish for our site. And, since I can speak and write it, I figured that I could help.
But, it could end up giving me a whole lotta of extra work that I can't handle right now |

| Re: Is there a way to translate your site into another language? but if you open up that door to one language, won't you have other languages wanting equal time and space? First Spanish, then French than Russian, etc..... |

At least until it crawls into my noggin at some other point. |

| Re: Is there a way to translate your site into another language? Alright!
That might just work. I'll keep an eye on that one and add it after removing a mod or two (gotta keep my mods from continually adding up )
All I'd have to do is create a graphic with a link saying "Walt Disney Boards in another language? Click Here!" with the word "hello" in different languages floating around in the graphic
This link would go to a web template where I would have the instructions on how to do it (since it's a 'marked text' translator and not a full translator) in the top 10 most common foreign languages. Then, I'd be set!

Michele, I'll let everyone know when I do it. LOTS of other things ahead of that on my list though, so it won't be anytime soon. |

| Re: Is there a way to translate your site into another language? It's unbelievable! You run out of time so quickly.
I've had this podcast (that I'm taking a little break from right now cause my eyes are going wacky from staring at sound waves) test run sitting here for like two weeks and with everything going on, I've had to leave it there.
I'm probably about 3/4 of the way done with it after spending a few hours on it this morning, but the stuff just piles up! |

| Re: Is there a way to translate your site into another language? Michele, are you doing everything yourself or do you have mods helping you out? I hope that you have the help because I wouldn't have been able to do 1/2 of the stuff that I've done to this point without their help. |
