Things to do after installing Vbulletin?

Hi all,

I just installed my third copy of VB and you would think I would know this by now, but I guess I've just been doing things off the cuff so to speak. I was wondering if there was a top x list of "things to do after installing vBulletin"? I've renamed the default forums that come set up. I haven't changed anything else yet, so I thought I would pose the question.

Thanks,
Jim

Well, I try to find a good style for a new forum first, that way if you do any editing to the style along the way with mods or custom edits, you don't have to do it twice because you didn't pick your style first.

Re: Things to do after installing Vbulletin?

Cool I'll give all this a shot. One other question if I may ask related to this.. is it better to install vb in the root of your site or should it go into a /forum/ folder? Is there any advantage or disadvantage? Does it affect SEO?

Thanks,
Jim
