It's called vBcredits and I use it on my forum. It's free, and there will soon be another free add-on to it called vBcommerce which is a shop mod.

I talk to Darkwaltz every now and then, but I ALWAYS see him on AIM and he's always looking to improve his products. I've decided to stick with DW and his products and if I don't buy any of his premium addons, I'll definitely be donating to the cause. He's a great guy, hard worker and great coder...he deserves some love |

I run a social site (local statewide mom's group)
I use
Recipe Database (from here -- my only paid mod)
Cyb - Advanced Forum Rules - from vbulletin.org
Cyb - Auto Birthday Greeter - from vbulletin.org
Cyb - Chatbox -from vbulletin.org
Cyb - PayPal Donate - from vbulletin.org
Farcaster's Event Attendance (and Evercraft's event forums) and mods to make them work together. This is not a perfect solution but the best I've found so far. I'm definitely willing to find an alternative if you know of one (we have an active calendar and need to be able to both RSVP and discuss the event together).

Does anyone actually use this mod and can show me an example of what they did with it? |

| Re: Top 10 Vbulletin Hacks for Beginners Bryce (or anyone else for that matter), is there a limit to the number of pages that you can create with the Webtemplates hack? If not, what would I need to consider if I add a ton of pages (a hundred or so)? My hosting company might have a fit or something? And finally, would I lose all of my new 'pages' (or the ability to edit them) if the hack doesn't work with 3.7.0 or would I only not be able to create new ones? |

| Re: Top 10 Vbulletin Hacks for Beginners vbSEO
vbStopForumSpam - blocks known spammers from registering (for my own uses, I also extended it to block them from using the contact form)
Template Modification System - makes upgrades so easy
sids editor newline - custom bb-codes make your editor too wide? this helps
Advanced BBCode Permissions - usergroup permissions for each custom bbcode
CES Parser Permissions - usergroup permissions for html, bbcode
CES VaultWiki - a complete wiki (I use it very much like a CMS)
This thread is hacks for beginners. I have a LOT of hacks most useful to coders / knowledgeable admins. If there's a thread for those kinds of mods, point me in that direction. |
