Trying to remove the "nofollow" code...

Howdy,

I set up a module (Affiliates) for my homepage (VBAdvance) where I've exchanged links to other sites. I've just been informed that there's a "no follow" tag on those links. It's not coded into the module itself so I'm thinking VB or VBA is adding it after the fact. How do I go about removing this coding or turning off this feature?

Thanks!

Lyte

Do you have the nofollow external setting in vbseocp set to block all outgoing links ?
If so, you'll need to add each of those sites.com into the whitelist box.

cheers

Ahh...

So, what's the advantage/disadvantage of having that turned on or off?? What does the nofollow tag do for me???

Thanks!

Nofollow attribute tells search engines that even though you are linking to the site, do not follow the link. Its basically telling them you don't trust the link, or want to lose out on having to many outbound links.

Its especially good for forums, where people love to have links in their signatures and you can unknowingly link to bad/unrelated sites.

Ahh! Thanks Madden! I was able to remedy the issue as Brandon suggested.
