Guys and gals,

I keep forgetting to ask this question. I noticed that I have 2 users in the "Users Awaiting Email Confirmation" bucket.

I finally looked into it and found the two that never confirmed their e-mails. One is @aol and the other @hotmail. I have others with these e-mails which haven't had issues, so I doubt it's a spam thing. But, how can I generate another reminder to 'activate'?

edit their account in ACP, in the top left dropdown, resend email activation or something like that.

I could see that being useful for very big boards but if i can do it fairly easy without a hack and load on the site i will....

Then again i dont require email verification so idk...

I like it, saves me a few "I didn't get my confirmation email" messages and takes care of deleting the people that provide fake email addresses

There is a Schedules Task in place that sends out email reminders to members that haven't yet confirmed their email address.

03 0 * * * Activation Reminder Email
This script sends reminder emails to users in the Awaiting Confirmation usergroup. An email is sent one day after the user has registered and again at five days.

Michelle, that's good.

Once I have a few more members, I might look into this. I've only had 2 users that hadn't confirmed for the first three months of the site's existence. So, as Chase mentioned, I'd rather not add another hack if it's not really needed.

But, I can see that being HUGE for those sites that are big enough to warrant adding it.

Another alternative is using vB's default "Send E-mail" feature.

Just use the $activateid and $activatelink variables.

How would that work Nick, could you type out an example?
