vbAdvanced install

Has anyone installed vbAdvanced on their forums. Im having trouble with the install and their only answer is "read the directions". Well, if the directions answered my questions I would not be asking them...ah. Let me know if anyone can help. Thanks.

I have tried to install this 3 times and I keep hitting the same problem.

when I go into my admin cp, the vbadvance box is titled "*[vba_cmps]*". When I click on a category I get:

The xxxxxx Forums database has encountered a problem.
Please try the following:

* Load the page again by clicking the Refresh button in your web browser.
* Open the www.xxxxxxxx.com home page, then try to open another page.
* Click the Back button to try another link.

The www.xxxxxxx.com forum technical staff have been notified of the error, though you may contact them if the problem persists.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

Re: vbAdvanced install

did you have the older version installed b4 ? I've ran into this when upgrading vBa and the old version ( I think 2.0 ) isn't removed completely when the upgrade is ran..

and yes, sadly the support there is a little slow, but if you have a few days then you might get your answers from those ppl.

The directions told me to put vba_index.php in the root directory when it should have gone in the root/forum directory.
