From what I've seen in the pre-release testing, there are several bug fixes.

I don't have a complete list for you tho at this point.

Yes, I saw that. I was tempted to upgrade

New Eastside Community
and
XML Elves Community

but it's a lot of money for forums that are not active...

It's purpose is to make forums active through google referrals.

Hmm, sounds good. I always wonder if I have damned all my sites to some pseudo or minor penalty by selling links.

I know the two sites I mentioned don't have a lot of backlinks, but the links they do have are from my own sites, possibly conferring some penalty.

Also, those sites are truly not active and I don't have a huge hope for the topics, it's been a while since they got any interest from regular surfers.

Should I consider hiring some forum posting service to get them jumpstarted?

1. If you are going to sell links from your site. I would make sure they are related to your site. keep it under 50 outbound links from your Total page and you should be okay.
I try to stay under 20-30.

backlinks and content will be best for any new site.

I've never used forum posters, but I've seen clients sites that did and even the fake stats hack and have pretty active sites right now... just don't go overboard and you should be okay

ya, that doesn't mean you are okay with selling 50.

I'll have to get some more info to get the facts right.

I'll say if it were me, I wouldn't sell more then 13 links in the footer of my site.
and even then, really 7 is more what I would aim for.

I tend to go with 12 as a limit per page.. 7 sounds better.
