vbSEO - Replace 'Previous/Next Thread' redirect links?

I think this feature is very nice, but is it really worth it to add two queries to your showthread pages? :o

I've removed it from my forum for now...

Unless your site has extreme server-load issues it doesn't really matter. Five well optimized queries (simple query using primary key) have virtually no effect, especially compared other areas of vBulletin that are very slow (and any hacks you may have)...

But, that is interesting. I never knew it did that.

It warns you of it in the vbSEO control panel.

You're right, I haven't noticed any speed differences, but the site is growing exponentially. I'm taking steps to make sure pages aren't overloaded with queries.

I also removed the hacks that display the members and guests that have visitied the forum each day. That saved two queries on my forum home page (probably the most viewed page of them all).

I just turned it back on. I couldn't notice a difference anyway, and it's a really useful feature.

I suppose it's something to keep in mind if a person starts having server load issues though.

I have always wondered if those links are ever even used. I don't think I have ever clicked on one of those links on any forum.

A client asked me about that the other day... he also thought nobody ever uses them.

"nobody reads ALL the threads"

I use them frequently, but I'm fine without them too.
