vbulletin database error?

One of my boards has been getting a message that mentions a database error and I'm suspecting that it might have been one of the members who have ACP access that has unintentionaly altered an option.
The problem is that I can't locate the problem.

Is it possible to cause a database error while altering anything from the ACP? If so, which part of the ACP can make it happen?

Yes, a plugin, a template modification, wrong settings... there are lots of things that can cause a database error.

What error do they send in the email to you, the SQL error.

sometimes you can view the source on an error page if it's not in plain text

Nope, didn't get any e-mail. I'm trying to reproduce it on my localhost installation, with no luck...

Try switching off plugins one by one and see if one of them is causing the problem. Also try to repair the database through vBulletin and through phpmyadmin.

Make sure you have the right email address set up in config.php - a lot of people overlook it
