, I have a few questions about referrals in vBulletin.

I see that vBulletin has a built in referral system. This is great news! I see that the code for the referral is something like this (give or take depending where you installed your forum).
http://www.domain.com/forum/index.php?referrerid=1

#1 Does anyone know if it works if I changed the url to..
http://www.domain..com/forum/register.php?referrerid=1

#2 I love the mod or whatever here at vBulletinsetup for vBulletinSetup Forums Referrals which PUNCHES you in the face and steals your wallet when a user clicks on User CP. I like this!
How can I steal this idea and implement it on my vBulletin forums?

#3 I love the idea of keeping track of referrals, but as always, I'm concerned about SPAM, fake accounts, and things of that sort. Does anyone know if there are any options for this? In particular, I'd like to only count active members who have posted at least one time.

Anyway, I'm curious about Referrals this morning, so tell me everything!

Not sure what you mean by #2

I added a hack at vb.org that shows the referral in the usercp
we also have a referral hack in the footer stats

#1 Yes, any link with $refferid=X at the end will work for that user.

#3 Yes, their are default ways in the admincp -> vbulletin options. You just gotta check them out. Require a unique email address, check ip, etc, just look around
