Web 2.0 Forums/look the future?

I don't know if vBsetup's new skin is considered a Web 2.0 style or not, but I thought it would be interesting to discuss Web 2.0 styles taking over the web, and whether or not it's the future of the new look of the internet. Is it the future?

So what do you think? Should forums and websites be designing to this style to stay ahead of the game, and to keep a fresh/current look (if it is the current look)?

Last I heard, Web 2.0 is dead and we're onto 3.0 or 4.0. I'm not much into fads but more into what my client wants and for my own sites, it's personal preference not some fad.

I didn't know we've moved on.I've bearly seen Web 2.0 sites.

Any examples of Web 3.0 or web 4.0, even 2.0 to compare the differences?

To me, when someone says something about web 2.0, I think of the user side.. To me, the "2.0" should be easier usability.

btw.. this was made by a teacher in Kansas
