| What in tarnation? Guys/gals, I need some help here.
For some reason my site is showing up all discombobulated (sp?) on some browsers and in some settings. Can I not get it so that it shows up well in any and all? Here's an example....when I go to my site, I get the first attachment below. But, the second attachment is an example where you see that it's way off in the 'body' of the site when someone else looks it up.
Is there a way to fix it so that it's the same across the board? It's kinda annoying me at this point and with sponsors and such now starting to come on board, I want to make sure that I have things looking sharp.
Help! Puhlease. |

| Re: What in tarnation? It is the resolutions that are throwing you off......
1. your logo on the tippy top isnt align to anything below, needs tweaked over maybe 15 pixels
2. your header and sidebar are fluid style so they expand when your resolution or window is bigger
3. your cmps body, because you have that fixed width top module for your slideshow, is fixed, it won't expand when your header does. i have 2 monitors so ill show you, a bit more drastically....
first pic is just my one screen, looks pretty good. Attachment 987
second pic, both screens, outta whack Attachment 986
so you either have to make your CMPS page properly fluid and expandable to match your header OR pick a fixed width and make it so on your header.....

| Re: What in tarnation? Wow, thanks for the quick feedback! You are always on top of your game. I wouldn't doubt that you could eat a whole wheel of cheese at one sitting.
Hmm...interesting feedback indeed.
Now, to address each issue seperately.
1. Ummm...how do I do this?
2. Okay, I understand this.
3. So, there's nothing that I can do with that slideshow since it's a fixed module unless...
"so you either have to make your CMPS page properly fluid and expandable to match your header OR pick a fixed width and make it so on your header....."
This sounds logical. Since the module with the slideshow is fixed, I would need to go with a fixed width. How do I go about that?
Please....baby steps....remember, I'm still a relative newbie. |

| Re: What in tarnation? set your width on that Main Table Width box to 900 px (add the space between) looks like you are still fluid. |

| Re: What in tarnation? I changed it back because I had one of the sponsors cruising the site and I know that they have the settings okay.
It just looks bad when I leave it at 900px setting because of the header and navbars being off. |

| Re: What in tarnation? well if you can't leave it as a fixed width your only option i think is to add a module/column to the side of your slideshow that is expandable to take up the space used when your header expands or contracts... |

| Re: What in tarnation? When I put the 900 px in for the main body, the navbar stays all the way across. Is there not a way to fix that?
Also, the header logo/banner gets even more 'off'.
In comparison, the WDB New Style (arctyc style that I'm working on) is fixed and works. Is there no way to get my default style work the same way? |

| Re: What in tarnation? im guessing if you go to your "navbar" template on that << >> button next to "go" the width set for the navbar is 100% or something, that is probably how it is ignoring your 900 px setting.....but dont take my word for it
im not a coder, im a tweaker and cut and paster.... /disclaimer.
and i think you need to enable guests to view attachments as i cant see the pics in your slideshow. |

| Re: What in tarnation? I'm going to try the 'navbar' tweak....thanks.
"and i think you need to enable guests to view attachments as i cant see the pics in your slideshow."
Whoa, that's weird. I've had lots of guests comment on the slides. I wonder why you can't see them. I have the "Forum Viewing Permissions" set at YES for everything (aside from the 'can see deletion notices').
Can anyone else confirm that they can or cannot see the slides? |

| Re: What in tarnation? I just noticed that there are a lot of 100% designations in the navbar and I didn't want to play around with them too much. Can anyone tell me where in particular I should be looking within the navbar code for the length of the navbar and make sure that it's set at a 'fixed' width?
Also, how do I shift the header over to line up correctly? |
