Eco Style Navigation Interface.

Step 1:

Let’s start out by creating a new file. I used a 800×300 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with white color. Now select the Pen Tool with Paths on. Then on your canvas create a swirly path line similar to the image below.

On your sidebar menu set the foreground color to #1A7900 color shade. Then while the Path Tool is selected right click on the canvas for a menu to appear, choose Stroke Path and use the same settings below.

Step 2:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, Inner Shadow, Gradient Overlay and Pattern Overlay blending options to your green thick line layer from the last step.

Step 3:

Now add another thick swirly line with a dark brown color, do this by addding a marquee selection around your green thick swirly line then make a new layer and fill the selection with #332300 color shade.

Step 4:

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, Inner Shadow and Pattern Overlay blending options to your brown swirly line layer. Then set the layer's opacity level to 14%.

Step 5:

In a new layer fill the top section of your header with white color shade. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Glow Overlay blending option to your white space layer.

Step 6:

In a new layer draw a rectangle with #00649C color shade and 35 px height dimensions across your canvas as shown below. Then use the eraser tool and fade the top half of the rectangle.

Step 7:

Select the Horizontal Type Tool and set the font family to Arial, regular, 13 pt, strong and #BAFF00 color shade. In a new text layer type out your navigation links with a lenghty space between each link.

Step 8:

Now set the font family to Webdings, 60 pt, strong and #1E8B00 color shade. In a new layer type 'w' on yout header to get the flag icon.

Step 9:

Still with your Text Tool using font webdings, set the size to 30 pt and type 'Q' on your header. Q under font webdings should be a tree scene icon design, rasterize that layer by right clicking on its layer under the layers palette and choose Rasterize Layer.

Once the tree scene icon design is a regular layer, cut out the other parts but the tree. Now position it on the space at the opposite end of your header. Then add more tree designs next to each other.

Step 10:

Select the Horizontal Type Tool and set the font family to Felix Titling, regular, 30 pt, strong and #005480 color shade. In a new text layer type out your website name on the center of your header. Then under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay and Stroke blending options.

Re: Fresh Natural Theme Header

Pretty nice image, although I don't think golf courses are considered eco-friendly... if I were to follow this tutorial I'd add some gnomes digging underground just for fun
