Re: What programs do you use?

I'm not a 'graphics' guy, so I use Paint and PhotoPlus for my basic things that I do.

By the way, you shouldn't let the gimp get on your life's laptop...might mess it up

Re: What programs do you use?

I use illustrator as much as possible, I find it easier than Photoshop. And for small jobs I'll use Paint Shop Pro instead of firing up the behemoth...

I like it. No more editing edges of things, easier to resize and recolor, plus I really like the vector aesthetic.

Re: What programs do you use?

I've been using GIMP thanks to Caddy's recommendation and like it.
I just got MS Expression Web 2 to try and dabble a bit in creating some unique sites. I'll see how that goes.

I was browsing Adobe Dreamweaver, but didn't like the price (even the student price) and someone told me about Expression Web and it seems to much the same capabilities as Dreamweaver and for the student price it was a steal and I figure since I'm not going to be doing really complex stuff it would probably do well for me.

I'll keep you updated on how it goes.

I use Paint Shop Pro. I've never been able to get a grip on Photoshop. But since PSP does everything I need, I'm not complaining.

Re: What programs do you use?

Photoshop is a must.

Illustrator is also a really great program and if you really have to get in there with some files I have used fireworks (but not to often)

They just seem to do everything you need to do, well. Without having to mess around with things.

I really want to pick up a wacom bamboo it's a starter tablet but everything I have read on it give it great reviews.

CS4 Extended where to buy and $'s

I'm looking at CS4 Extended .... where would you suggest I buy, Adobe site wants $999USD but when surfing the net I find some places for as little as $50USD, but it could be a scam.
