Here is the revised P2P blue style that we had released in the past.

I've added a blank logo in the zip

I have it on a test site that's running 3.8
let me know if you have any questions
I tried to get it validated, I think I got it down to 3 on the forumhome

You can now set this style as fixed or fluid and the alignment issues should be fixed.

How do I change the style to fluid/fixed width?

vBulletin AdminCP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> StyleVars -> Main Table Width

Edit the value to the desired width (A percentage e.g. 80%, or a pixel value e.g. 720)

Nice, we are offering our members a select group of skins to choose from for our main one and we have added this one to the list.

just to try i would find the existing buttons code in the header template and copy it, then paste it right under, if it works then just edit the links and text.

It looks like its all done in CSS and then a actual button is linked in the additional CSS.
